Frances Karttunen:

TZOM(A) vt to sew something / coser algo, o cubrir de paja el bohio (M) This verb is only attested in the sources for this dictionary in derived forms. M has it as a free form, but in view of M’s entries chpana.nitla for (I)CHPĀN(A) ‘to sweep something’ and cuiloa.nitla for (I)HCUILOĀ ‘to write something,’ M’s tzoma.nitla may represent (I)HTZOM(A). On the other hand, the derived form TZOHTZOMAH-TLI implies TZOM(A).
