Frances Karttunen:

PĀ vt; pret: PAH to dye something / teñir algo con tinta o colores de tinteros (M) [(6)Cf.31r,32v,64V,128v,(2)Zp.121.192]. M only gives the nonspecific object prefix as compatible with this verb, and it is ex-clusively so attested in C, but Z gives it as a full transitive verb. T has a synonymous full transitive verb TLAPALLŌTIĀ derived from TLAPAL-LI 'dye.'
