EXQUIQUIL(I)-TL a type of plant / mafafa cimarrón (blanco) (Z) [(2)Zp.79,154]. This may be a back formation from Spanish exquite ˂ ĪZQUI-TL ‘popcorn,’ often used to describe plants with clusters of white flowers. This plant may be Colocasia mafaffa, one of a group of plants from the roots of which an edible starch can be extracted. See QUIL(I)-TL.
